Professor Allen is possibly the nicest and most helpful professor I have encountered here at NC state. The course is great and I just love taking it. He's really helped me grow my skills and love for French. He expects that you speak it constantly, and you should too.

Professor Allen's class was one of the funniest I've ever taken. The class is more enjoyable once you get used to the difficulty of reading, talking and writing in French. It was really informal but with a healthy dose of inappropriate jokes and exam curves. There was lots of homework given and some sounds were marginally different from each other though.

I loved my French phonetics class with Prof. Allen! It was rigorous as expected but it was still taught at a relatively slow pace.
