Good
Prof. Hiatt doesn't give extra credit opportunities. As long as you show up in class, you get an easy A or B. He gives 4 tests, the fourth one being the final. He checks attendance at the end of the sem to see if he will round up your grade or if you are on the edge. You purchase the book online and you work through canvas. Assignments are done online and there are some group work in class.
Awesome
Professor Hiatt is a literal gem on this campus. I recommend to take this class if you want to finally understand math. I have had so many bad math teachers and he is very easy to understand. He genuinely cares about each and every one of his students. He is very wise, and reminds me and my friends of the tortoise of kung fu panda, because of how sweet he is.
Good
Professor Hiatt is a great teacher and one of my favorites that I've had. Attendance is mandatory because of in class assignments and though he gives lot of homework, it's all short assignments. It's an easy A if you just do the work.
Awesome
With effort anyone can easily pass his class. Hiatt gives you fill in the blank notes in class to follow along, the homework is also really easy. His class is also non-cumulative, so it's super easy to study for the test, and there is no guessing game on what will be on the test.
Awesome
Prof. Hiatt's is a typical math class, so expect to have homework. The group project kinda sucks, but he's very amicable and unpretentious, so he can make an extremely boring course interesting.
Awful
Mr. Hiatt was a good professor. His class is easy if you attend. On the other hand, he acts as if the students were a personal annoyance to him. Also, if you don't come to class, he only gives 50 percent credit for assignments. Overall, I found him to be inconsiderate to his students.
Awesome
He's seriously one of the top teachers I've ever had. He's all about his students and he wants us to do well. He makes sure everyone has plenty of chances to score an A in his class. If you don't care or make an effort, that's on you and you'll flunk. But, if you show up, listen well, and ask for help when you need it, there's no reason you can't nail that A.
