Good
Professor Jones always provides great feedback. Just do the work and you'll do fine.
Good
Professor Jones does a great job at introducing the material through a combination of Power Point and audio visual lectures, textbook reading and addition media sources. He organizes the class in such a way that information flows smoothly through the quarter, which ends with the research work.
Awesome
Prof. Jones gives clear directions and he's pretty fair! He clearly knows his stuff and he's very eager to help the students learn.
Good
Professor Jones is a tough grader when it comes to weekly posts. He's one of the only professors I could actually tell reads his students' work thoroughly and takes time to write feedback on each. The final consists of all the weekly quizzes. Always do the weekly assignment. It's a pretty clear cut class and there's nothing that is very difficult. Just stay consistent.
Good
Prof. Jones is very strict on deadlines, but he was also willing to provide an extension of deadlines for each assignment. He even provides options for extra credit.
Good
Professor Jones is a really nice guy. He has a lot of experience in law enforcement. And it's clear he knows what he's talking about. I had to take the class online because of COVID-19. He has good comprehensive lectures, one of the few COVID-19 era classes I feel like I actually learned anything from. I wish I had met him in person.
Good
Professor Jones gives a lot of opportunities to get your grades up. Just make sure you participate in the readings or lectures and you'll do well.
Awesome
Prof. Jones is very understanding and will go out of his way to make sure that you succeed in class. His work isn't complicated, it's pretty easy and straightforward as long as you are persistent in class. 10/10 would recommend taking his class!
Awesome
Prof. Jones is amazing!
Good
Prof. Jones is amazing! I took his online course strategies and he was very helpful if you have questions! He shares a different perspective and he really tells us what he thinks! If you want to learn more about policing and strategies, I'd recommend this class!
Average
Professor Jones' discussion posts are two page essays in American Psychological Association format, with two quizzes per week. I don't know who learns by reading a lot of other essays, instead of having a real class discussion. But, this is what you'd expect. The lectures are informative though and he did reach out when I missed an assignment to make sure I was okay, which was more than most other teachers do.
Awesome
Prof. Jason is an amazing teacher! Due to COVID-19, we had to shift to online class. He was able to make the online class intriguing and interesting! We had 1 midterm, 1 final, 1 paper, and weekly quizzes that were pretty easy. If you're a crim justice major, this will be fun!
Awful
Prof. Jones doesn't seem to care about his students. He wouldn't give an extension even if you were already bedridden from a disease! He's really really frustrating!!
Good
Prof. Jones is very thorough and his expectations are very clear! He does an amazing job of keeping the materials unbiased. Amount of reading is pretty average. You'll have to read and take notes during lectures to do good! Discussions are a lot more intensive than most classes.
Good
Prof. Jones makes an online course easy to follow! He's pretty organized and he comes up with a reasonable criteria. We had 2 weekly quizzes and a discussion post that requires a good amount of reading. He's pretty helpful in case you have questions. Such an amazing course!
Awesome
Prof. Jones was very clear and organized! He even gave us weekly reminders of our assignments which were really helpful. Along with the chapters and lecture quiz, we had weekly discussion posts as well. At the end of term, we also had papers aside from the reflection and critiques. Sounds harsh but everything's pretty helpful!!!
Awesome
You can see that Prof. Jones is passionate about teaching! He cares a lot about the student's development as well! It was just really my fault that I messed up on my research paper. I like how he doesn't change his policies for people's needs to make it fair to everyone.
Awesome
This was my first criminal justice class. I can say that, more professors need to model after Professor Jones. The class expectations were clear from the beginning. I appreciated on not having to chase after the grades. Other professors will take their sweet time grading things, but not him. I felt respected and motivated to work hard for this class. I highly recommend his class to everyone.
Good
Professor Jones' course is interesting to take from a police officer. I appreciate his ability to remain neutral. He provided tools to examine information from all perspectives and make our own informed decisions and form our own opinions. I didn't like the book, but I still appreciate another insight into the topics discussed in the course.
Awesome
Professor Jones' class was great. I like the way he does the lectures. It's not boring at all. This is an enjoyable class with a knowledgeable teacher.
