Served as an Adjunct Professor of Education instructing Social Studies Methodology (Education 422), Content Pedagogy (Education 585), Educational Technology (EDUC 500) and Classroom Ecology (Education 584). These courses focus on the various educational methods used to teach the Humanities and Social Sciences at the secondary level. Both courses stress techniques of classroom delivery and communication within the Social Studies classroom. Both courses require exam development and lesson planning to correlate web and classroom instruction.
Have served as an Adjunct Professor of History teaching two sections of World History 102: 1300-1800. All courses have used the Online Learning System SAKAI.
Social Studies Teacher
The position of a Social Studies Teacher includes the responsibility of completing lesson plans, grading assignments, maintaining classroom discipline, and completing the selected curriculum standards of each grade. Developing lesson plans entails the completion of curriculum that meets the standards of the State of West Virginia. For Social Studies, this means having a strong background in the fields of history, political science, geography, economics, and sociology, plus being able to mold the material into an interdisciplinary curriculum. Social Studies teachers are responsible for coordinating the school’s History Bowl Team, National History Day competition, Social Studies Fair, Youth & Government Program, and West Virginia State History Contest (The Golden Horseshoe).

Construct and deliver History courses (Live, Online, and Hybrid).
Adjunct Professor
Instruct and organize Curriculum and Instruction course connected to the Doctoral of Leadership program, MAT program, and undergraduate cohort.
Assistant Professor of Education
Teach methods and assessment courses for the secondary level as well as other courses in areas of expertise. Supervise candidates in field settings and work collaboratively with school partners. Collaborate with other faculty in implementing and maintaining the required assessment system. Ongoing scholarship and professional development as well as Department, College, University, and community service is completed.
