To Human Resources:
I am writing to you as a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Azusa Pacific University in Mathematics. I am extremely interested in a position with a company such as yours. I have been working in education for the past 15 years as a Mathematics Teacher and I am now looking to transition into corporate work at a company such as yours.
Although successful in my career as an educator, I have realized that the aspects of my work I find most rewarding are focused around the analysis and explanation of complex mathematical data, aspects which are fairly limited in my present career. I am looking forward to a new venue where these talents can be fostered and utilized within a company. The following offers a few highlights of my qualifications:
Solid foundation in Mathematical Analysis: As a high school and college educator, I have been able to analyze and describe complex problems and concepts to various individuals. This work has also developed a keen sense of error analysis in which I can see what the correct solution is supposed to be and also at what stage an error would have occurred.Dynamic communication style: I am adept in communicating ideas effectively, especially within my professional relationships. I am also well known for my ability to use a variety of methods and media to explain complex ideas.
Experience in the corporate world: As an Engineering Technician at Johanson Technology I derived various mathematical equations used to simplify the design process for the next generation of miniaturized semi-conductor capacitors. While at Johansen Technology, I became very familiar with how a corporation works and how to present ideas effectively within the structure of this corporate environment. More recently, at Revshare Corporation, I performed data analysis tasks as an intern. While at Revshare, I analyzed and transformed raw media data to produce reports for upper management meetings.
