Ellis Law
I teach Business Law and an introductory Business Management class online. It is a real challenge because I cannot watch the body language of the students so it is difficult to know where they are having problems with the information. I try to make myself as available as possible to the students but it is taking some getting used to.

Coordinated Community Response Team
The Team consists of people from the multiple agencies that deal with domestic violence. Our goal is to educate the public and train the various agencies so this crime is handled in a common way. We want everyone to know that help is here. If everyone has the full list of resources available we can better assist each other and the victims.

Carlsbad Battered Families Shelter
In 2007 we opened our new shelter with the guidance of the State Legislators from our area. We are blessed with a long term staff of women who handle the stress of their very difficult work with grace and professionalism under the leadership of Director Christy Post and Assistant Director Shilah Jordan. We have gone from the charity no one wanted to be associated with to the charity everyone wants to help. The Board is active and enthusiastic. This \"job\" held my heart.
