Dr. Hirsch is an Associate Profesor and Assistant Chair for Assessment and Research in the Department of Psychology at East Tennessee State University. He is also the Director of the Laboratory of Rural Psychological and Physical Health.\n\nDr. Hirsch received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Wyoming (2003). He completed his clinical internship at SUNY Upstate Medical Center

Dr. Hirsch was a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology
Rochester Institute of Technology. Currently
he maintains a research appointment at the University of Rochester Medical Center
Department of Psychiatry. He is also a Research Scientist at the Mountain Home VAMC
and an adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Public Health at ETSU.\n\nDr. Hirsch has authored over 50 peer-reviewed articles on mental health and well-being
and has presented his work over 200 times at professional conferences. He serves on numerous journal Editorial Boards
and is the U.S. Representative for the World Suicidology Net
of the World Psychiatric Association.
