Hunter College - Mathematics
Research Assistant - Computer Vision Lab.
• Worked with a massive dataset of images and LIDAR data.
• Designed, trained, and tested a fast, multi-branch convolutional neural network for localization, detection, segmentation, and orientation estimation for objects in 3D point clouds. Built using Python, TensorFlow and Keras.
• Built a pipeline for extracting RGB color data from images in order to colorize 3D point cloud data using C++ and Open CV
• Built tools using Qt, Coin3D and C++ to visualize 3D point clouds and to make data annotation more efficient
Adjunct Lecturer
• Math 385 - Numerical Methods
• Topics: Programming in Mathematica, Large Matrix Techniques, Numerical Differential Equations, Interpolation, Gradient descent, Mathematical Modeling and Algorithms
Co-Band Leader
• Played Drums and co-led a 13 piece band
• Coordinated with wedding planners, caterers, sub musicians and various other types of vendors
• Had to make decisions quickly in a fast paced, high pressure environment
• Dealt with new people and different types of personalities every day
Founding Member
• Played Drums, Co-Wrote, Arranged and Recorded 3 EPs and an LP
• MTV VMA Award for Best Breakout Band in 2009
• Signed to the Universal Music Group / 805 Records
• Toured with Neon Trees, Filter and on the Vans Warped Tour
Software Engineer Internship
• Developed algorithms in C++ using 3D RANSAC, support vector machines, and Euclidean clustering for extracting planes and edges in unorganized 3D point clouds and automatic detection of street signs, telephone poles, and trees.
