Good
Professor Kelly is a really great guy. Economics is hard to follow. I struggled so badly I had to switch my major. If you pay attention and ask questions when you're confused, he's more than happy to explain. The class was only 50 minutes and was not enough time to cover all the material it was hard to fit it all in. The grade is based on two midterms, a final, and a mix of pop quizzes and homework.
Awesome
I came from the class of a difficult Macro professor and Mr. Kelly was really great. He is knowledgeable with the subject and can explain it well. He gives pop quizzes but sometimes will tell us when the quizzes will be scheduled. It was super easy. Aside from that, you will get points on the quizzes just for writing your name. Overall, the class was great. I wish I would have had him for Macro.
Awesome
You'll be OK if you put in 6 hours a week, read the textbook (the #1 most undervalued resource), and attend every lecture. He's a lively professor that does an excellent job of explaining concepts during lectures, but you must take notes! READ THE TEXTBOOK IF YOU ARE CONFUSED! It actually does a good job of teaching subjects and isn't as dry as a textbook.
Average
Professor Kelly is not a bad teacher. However, his lectures are very fast pacing and it's hard for me to keep up with him. Economics is hard so he does his best. Also, you can tell that he's knowledgeable as well. Attendance is not mandatory since its a lecture. The classes are mainly exam-based, so it is very difficult to pass. Just be attentive and prepare for the tests, then you'll be fine.
Good
He does a great job teaching and always wants us to ask questions. He gives quizzes every day we meet, and that's how he checks the attendance. He also provides study materials for exams. There's always homework, but it's not too bad because he lets you try each problem up to three times, making it easy to get a good grade. Be sure to get an access code. If you have a chance to take his class, take the night class once a week.
Awful
He was incredibly unorganized and didn't reply to my inquiries. When our class switched to online mode, he failed to update us about the syllabus dues. I could understand if the pandemic had caused some problems, but he left us in a lurch until the final week of class, suddenly announcing that we had a final exam and paper due. These assignments made up 40% of our grade. All he supplied us with study materials were YouTube videos. I'd advise steering clear of his class, if possible.
Poor
This professor talks a lot in class and goes super fast. You'll need to read the book for sure. My small-group teacher always ended class early and didn't help at all. There's homework every week and a couple of tests. Most of us in class were confused. His class isn't impossible. However, I didn't pass and neither did other students I knew.
