Good
He does care for the students that he's teaching, but the class that he's teaching is pretty tough. There are only 4 grades in the entire class, and most of the exams given are totally optional. Skipping one of the exams however makes your final count as a lot more. He offers as much as 20 points of extra credit which you can get by writing an essay, and that's pretty neat. He tells stories and he does his best to make a connection with his students. Make sure to read the textbook!
Good
Professor Derr's lectures were engaging. Attending the lectures will be very helpful. The grade is based only on three exams and a cumulative final which is 25% each. It is difficult to fail one of the exams and bring your grade up to A. Usually, he offers ten points extra credit paper, but not this semester. Be sure to read the book carefully, then you can get an A.
Poor
Professor Derr's grading system is based on three optional exams. I took his class when it all went online. Unfortunately, he removed the extra credit while other teachers added extra credit. It's really hard to get good grades without having homework as a buffer. He also uses unknown test banks for exams. Yes, he's nice, but I don't like him as a professor. I won't take his class again.
