Awful
Professor Troy seems to know his stuff pretty well, but being knowledgeable is not the same thing as being a good professor. His lectures made no sense and were all over the place. His tests were way too difficult. I would never take his class again, I do not recommend him at all.
Awesome
If you plan on acquiring an engineering degree, take Professor Troy! The experience he has really shows in his lectures, and it's also great prep for the later upper division classes. His tests are a good measurement of understanding of the material, but he gives good partial credit which really helps out. Make sure you're reading ahead if you're interested in passing.
Awful
Troy is intelligent in what he's doing, however I don't think he's suited to be a teacher. His lectures are puzzling , and all he does is read from his notes. His exams are unnecessarily more difficult than they should be, and his grading is critical, even on the labs. It's complicated enough to learn physics online due to COVID, however he doesn't make it any easier.
Poor
Professor Troy has really difficult tests and confusing math classes, that aren't really necessary for the tests. Tests can be somewhat difficult, but not too much, as long as you do enough work. There's a good curve and extra credit, but it will not save you from the difficulty. We started with 30 students and ended up with only 14.
