MA Candidate
I am a MA Candidate at the Jackson School of International Studies and the Evans School of Public Policy. My research interests are in climate policy and politics and I'm currently pursuing a project on Finnish climate politics.
Visiting Lecturer
I participated in a summer school program as a lecturer, designing and teaching my own course on Arctic politics and issues to international students.
Bicycle Delivery
As a bicycle courier I delivered customer service behind the counter and also from my bike's saddle on the weekend night shifts in the U District.
Fulbright Fellow
As a Fulbright Fellow I was given funding to pursue my own research project, which focused on investigating how the Finnish and American governments' strategic responses to a changing Arctic matched up to state rhetoric. I took what I learned on the road and presented it as part of a traveling symposium through the Barents Region of Russia, Norway, and northern Finland at different research institutes. I also took what I learned and turned it into a series of lectures detailed above.
Stockroom Attendant II
As a stockroom attendant, I ensured that my designated medical unit had an unimpeded flow of supplies. This required me to judge in advance what supplies would be needed for the next day and order accordingly, as well as spot-filling supply locations as needed. I worked closely with nurses, surgeons, and other medical technicians and made sure that their needs were met in any situation.
