As a Board Member of the Byrd Theatre Foundation
I support our collective effort to first restore the theatre
and then preserve its tradition by fulfilling our vision as a non-profit
community-supported film center
celebrating the motion picture palace experience of film. Elected Vice President
in May 2014
I've taken a vested interest in progressing conversations into actionable goals toward realizing our strategic vision of a Film Center and community institution. \n\nPrevious Chair of Marketing
efforts overhauling web
communications
marketing and outreach reflected +150% increases in awareness
web traffic
first-time donors
email database and social following within 18 months. \n\nShifting attention to Programming in late 2015
I facilitated the board's 5-year strategy before launching its first execution. Family Classics began in May 2016
already averaging 250 weekly attendance and breaking even with no external or paid marketing. Fall 2016 will launch two new monthly series
cultivating two varied audiences with expectations to expand as weekly programs next year. \n\nNew marketing
combined with expanded programs
has increased sustainability and curbed projections in year over year declines typical of the movie industry. Additional focus over the next two years will attend to improving experience
facilities and infrastructure
as well as membership.

I managed the $500k budget
distributed between traditional marketing initiatives
field workers promoting state incentives and an alternative incentive program. All means worked towards TDM (Transportation Demand Management)
convincing consumers in the Northern Virginia Capital Beltway to connect with and use ridesharing opportunities versus driving a single occupancy vehicle. \n\nProject highlights include coordinating a two-day photoshoot
developing materials for the field team
overseeing a partnership with consumer incentive program NuRide.
The primary consumer campaign for ACCS was the Car Free Diet
promoting all the alternative transportation options available in Arlington
VA. I managed social channels
digital advertising and was instrumental in developing and facilitating innovative social campaigns.
\"Get Square VA\" Tax Amnesty Program
An integrated marketing campaign in its truest since. Traditional commercial advertising as well as web video and digital banners
coupled with social media campaigns brought in $103 million for the state in back taxes. The total collected more than doubled initial projections of $41 million.\n
Amtrak Virginia was a Public-Private Partnership between Amtrak and VA DRPT to add additional service throughout each day. We branded it locally through an integrated marketing campaign including traditional
digital
non-traditional and social marketing
and increased ridership 21% from 2010 to 2011.
