A lot of student seems to have the impression that Professor Hoover is a tough grader and his class is impossible. That's simply wrong. Just show up to class, pay attention and read whatever articles or books he assigns to you. He does have a bit of an ego but if you can manage that the course is an easy A.

If you read the material and listen to Hoover in class then his "Hot Seat" oral exams that make him seem intimidating will be a breeze. Considering they're the majority of the grades in the class, anyone that complains they're hard isn't doing the work.

Doctor Hoovers' class is different. However, it's not as bad as everyone makes it seem. His class looks scary at first when you look through the syllabus, but it's a simple A. You can't skip classes, but the material is not that hard. His hot seats weren't as bad as you'd expect. Just pay attention in class and to the weekly presentations, then you'll be fine.
