Philosophy with J.D. Hill was a struggle. The reading list was overwhelming. His expectations were totally out of line for a first year intro to Philosophy class.
Good
The class does require a fair amount of time, but as long as you participate you can easily make an A. Professor Hill is constantly there to remind you about due dates, and always includes funny puns and jokes into his emails. I was skeptical about taking an online class, but Professor Hill made it both easy and entertaining.

I am excited by the ‘whys’ that force getting my hands dirty, addressing problems rather than symptoms. At my core is a knack for generating a roadmap to achieve a goal, and inspiring others into mutual trust and coaction with contagious enthusiasm.
My entrepreneurial soul emerged young, starting my first venture in sixth grade. Recognizing there were no concessions at the site of my Little League games, I encouraged my best friend to help set up shop selling soda, candy, and snacks at 100% margins on weekends, hiring others to work for candy during our games. That summer we averaged over $2400 a month. Not bad for 11 year old kids who played ball well enough to make the all-star team.
Numerous adventures followed leading to infatuation with strategic management, operations, building efficient systems, and lifelong learning, pushing me to undertake endeavors in various capacities and a variety of fields on four continents. Whether in an office, a rainforest, a conference room, beating the street, or in the heart of Africa, and as a consultant, headmaster, analyst, board member, coach, volunteer, entrepreneur, speaker, manager, or professor, my enthusiasm for new challenges and solving complex problems continues.
