Good
Professor Cassill makes learning about Biology very enjoyable. He truly cares about the impact he has on the students. Lots of what he says during lecture will appear on the exam. He does do attendance checks. I highly recommend going to SI sessions and doing the whole review if you want to get an A. Tests will make up the majority of your grade. And stay attentive during class!
Awful
Prof. Aaron is terrible. He doesn't explain things well and his lectures are long and boring. Be prepared to teach yourself the concepts because you'll be more confused just listening to him.
Awesome
I'm not a biology major and I thought Professor Cassill was very good. He uses Tophat for attendance and random questions in class. He uses an online textbook for assignments. His tests were long and I failed all of them. However, he curved the grades so much that I passed. The class is a bit boring, but I probably would have failed if he didn't curve the grade so much.
Poor
Wouldn't recommend taking him. His lectures are confusing, and his exams do not seem to make sense at all. He does not respond to emails, and his office hours aren't helpful at all. Go ahead and take any other prof.
Poor
I wish I had taken the advice when I originally read bad reviews about Professor Cassill's class. I wanted to cut him some slack due to Covid-19. However, his grading criteria are very confusing. Also, he didn't do much for us this semester. His lectures were not good. He was still very strict even though our class was transitioned online. He would also post our assignments late.
