Worked very hard all semester. Got As on all my tests. Harvey grades essays very severly. 15 points were deducted. Got a B in the class.
Awesome
I was really worried after reading reviews. But I really enjoyed it. She has very clear expectations. As long as you read the required text each week you will be OK. Test are easy. Grades hard on essays.
Awesome
Iris has to learn English! She responds to e-mails in a timely manner. She is caring and willing to help you if you suck up to her. Her assignments are very organic and specific. She wants the class to be comfortable. She assigns group activities with people who hate each other. There were about 9 essays, But no final exam, 25 DB's and several pop quizzes. Just be sure to participate, do the work as instructed and you might be able to pass.
Awful
Professor Harvey expected you to read on your own time. You have to come to class prepared and ready to discuss the material you've read. Participation matters in her class and you have to talk. She assigned a group assignment and a five page paper you have to write. I will not take her class again.
Awful
Professor Harvey is an extremely harsh grader to a point that's stupid. Do not take this class if you want to pass. She does not care about students, is not helpful, and is not accommodating.
Poor
I wasn't doing so well with my grades, and she gave very discouraging feedback. After she recommended I drop the class I went ahead and did so.
Awful
For the entire semester I had an A. She then assigned the class to complete a 2 and a half page paper. After doing so and waiting for three weeks I got the grade. It was an F, and I had failed the class. She went back on the number of pages the paper was supposed to be. Absolutely not, stay away from the classroom.
