Professor Chao is one of the best instructors I've ever had. I've been learning Chinese as a third language and she makes me find learning very enjoyable. She cares about you in class and wants you to learn what's best for you. Don't believe these low level comments, those students are lazy and looking for ways to resist. This is an honest feedback. This class is highly recommended.

Chinese Lecturer
I am currently the Chinese Program Director and Lecturer at Chapman University in California since August of 2015. At Chapman, I have not only taught elementary level Chinese (CHIN101/102/201) but also built up some upper level Chinese classes (CHIN202/301/Business Chinese CHIN347/ Cinematographic and Literature in Chinese). In addition, due to the requests from students and with enough higher-level Chinese courses we have had, I set up a Chinese Cluster and Chinese Minor in the Chinese program. Moreover, combining my hobby of traveling, I designed and led the first 2016 and 2017 Summer Travel Course to Taiwan in Chapman University with a group of 10-15 students. All of the students had a memorable time in Taiwan. Furthermore, considering culture is indispensable in terms of language learning, I organized some school-wide Chinese culture workshops to introduce Chinese culture to the community.
