Provides coordination and execution of Trauma research projects, research design and biostatistical consulting and analysis, communication with study sponsors and principal investigators, IRB submissions, staff education, and management of individual project budgets. Manages research projects from initiation through study closure for Trauma, Neurosurgery, and Ortho-Trauma surgeons, and assures proper documentation to meet FDA, HIPAA, and other federal, state, local and institutional requirements. Serves as a resource/consultant to physicians, patients, families, staff, management and other members of the healthcare team. Develops and implements innovative research ideas in collaboration with the Trauma team, assists with grant applications, and abstract and manuscript submissions. Provides leadership and collaboration for team building with members of the healthcare team to promote research.
