New Academic Journal Wants Your Brilliant Sci-Fi Thoughts
Out there
just beyond the edges of the solar system
float worlds built of academic sci-fi discourse. But
unless you hang your hat inside a Georgian building with ivy scaling the walls
it's possible you can't spot them in the curled up softcovers you call a telescope.

I'm a college teacher and advisor
teaching communication and writing courses. Every person has a voice; it's my job to help students discover what those voices sound like and how to reach their listeners or readers. I tailor messages to their audiences and teach my students to do the same--whether the goal is a scholarly article
a sci-fi novel
or a tweet. \n\nIn my volunteer work as managing editor of the Journal of Science Fiction
I help authors improve their written arguments and promote science fiction criticism. \n\nIn my free time
I'm writing a book about the television series Doctor Who--so drop me a line if you need an editor or if you want to chat about important Whovian questions!
