Professor Whitlow makes a lot of mistakes when giving lectures and it is difficult for him to trust everything he says. I passed physics with a high A, and I had no idea what was going on in this class. He shouldn't be so teaching. If there's another professor available for this course, take them. I don't know what to say other than not taking this course.
