Artificial Neural Network Survival Analysis for Lung Cancer
Chris P. Tsokos
In this current study
the discrete time hazards of malignant lung cancer patients are obtained using the neural network proposed by Mani et al. Major risk factors which contribute to the survival of lung cancer patients are taken into consideration
including Age
Tumor size
Stage of cancer
Cell type
etc. A comparison is made between the subject neural network based model and classical survival analysis models. The proposed neural network method has largely reduced the data repetition involved with data pre-processing and provides more reliable predictions of the survival time of lung cancer patients.

My research interests span over several interdisciplinary areas including statistical data mining
especially in artificial neural networks (ANNs)
Bayesian analysis
Survival analysis and Time series analysis. \nI have a high propensity and experience in teaching. Moreover
I love to do statistical data analysis.
