Awesome
Professor Rubin was great at explaining media history and applying it to what's happening now. My favorite part was that at the beginning of most classes we would have great discussions of current events. The exams covered readings, lectures, and viewing, and were graded fairly. I now subscribe to magazines and newspaper.

Awesome
After taking Prof. Rubin for JOUR102, 200, and 304, I noticed that she had strong views about media but was always open-minded about her students' perspectives. She was demanding with her expectations but she was also kind and helpful. She has a wise approach but never condescending. She's honestly my favorite prof at TAMU.
