Simply the best theacher at EMU. Class is extremely straight forward and trains you a great deal. He gives lots of opportunities for additional credit and to impart your insight.

Professor Wilcox was a nice guy. The class wasn't very hard at all when you will just come to class, participate and do the two papers that he requires. He's very clear on his expectation in the class. The class wasn't theory heavy. So, if you want sociological theory like I did then there wasn't that much. But I think that is because it's all an introduction of sociology classes. Another thing is, he didn't used canvas but, it's still very simple to stay on top of things. He is really great.

Prof. Wilcox is awesome! You will only have to go to class on film days and notes are posted online. We only have 2 exams which were both take home. He's very caring and awesome!

Professor Wilcox is very knowledgeable. He shows great interest in the subject and his students. He offers many extra credits and has handled the transition to online classes very well. Typically, he doesn't use Canvas. Overall, he's one of the best professors I have ever had. I sincerely hope that I can have him as a teacher again.

Professor is super relaxed. He loves to give EXTRA CREDIT, a whole lot! He has two open-book tests that you can do at home. I had his class during fall 2018. I was just thinking of his class and wanted to say something good about him. You don't need to buy a textbook for his class. I remember we had to write 4-5 short reports on different movies that we watched. The tricky part was, he won't tell you when we're going to watch those films. If you missed it, you missed out. So, don't forget to do your extra credit!
