Greg has been named Evening News Co-Anchor at KFDM-TV in Beaumont, Texas. Greg has spent much of the last 29 years as a Sports Director/Anchor in six television markets across the United States. Kerr also spent a year as Morning Co-Anchor at KTBC in Austin, Texas. During his long television career, Greg was named Sportscaster of the Year by the Texas Associated Press and the Illinois Broadcasters Association and earned a 2011 Lone Star Emmy Award for producing, writing, voicing and editing a documentary for Fox Sports SW in Dallas.. Also, Greg has earned several sports reporting awards.
During his time at Fox Sports SW in Dallas, Greg anchored and reported on various Dallas professional teams including the Mavericks of the NBA and the Stars of the NHL. He also reporting on the Texas Rangers and numerous college sports. He also produced the Conference USA Showcase that aired on several Fox Sports affliates throughout the Southern portion of the country.
Also, Greg served as play by play and color voice of Elon University Basketball during the 2009-10 college basketball sesason.

Led numerous high-visibility, multiple day programming efforts as broadcast project manager. Collaborated with multiple internal department teams and external professional/collegiate sports organizations to plan, organize, write, promote, produce and deliver compelling daily broadcast communications.
Formulated innovative projects, such as "Friday Football Fever," and other various special programs to enable the sales and marketing departments to pursue sponsorship to increase revenue for the station.
Enhanced company's community identity and public relations through personal involvement as emcee/co-chairing and serving on the board of local community and charitable events.
Maintained department's $25,000 annual sports budget to allow coverage of major sporting events. Staying within budget allowed travel for increased visibility and gain a competitive advantage within the market.
Responsibilities
Strategically planned nightly sportscast to target local viewership, managed staff to work as a team in executing a tactical plan to position the station as a local leader in sports coverage and improve market share.
Established, developed, and implemented new media platforms including website enhancement, blogging, Facebook and Twitter. The campaigns produced sales opportunities and increased revenue flow for the TV station.
Developed college internship program for television stations to increase journalism students' knowledge of the television industry to enable them to gain valuable hands-on
Radio Talent on Broadcast Team
Formerly with radio broadcast team for Elon University of the Southern Conference. Worked both play-by-play and color positions for Elon games aired on WCPM 920 am and streamed on @elonphoenix.com. Also did play-by-play for various sports with the Atlantic Coast Conference ACC Select.
