Gleb Nikitenko has worked in various director-level capacities at the University of San Francisco since 2001. He has also taught a variety of graduate and undergraduate courses in business and public management since 2004. His current research interests are in the areas of cross-sectoral management and corporate governance, Silicon Valley entrepreneurship and innovation, international politics and business, and contemporary developments in learning and assessment.
Following his brief tenure in the Ukrainian government (1994-1995), Gleb pursued international educational and professional opportunities in the U.S. and Europe. He was head of department of Political Science and Public Administration at Girne American University in North Cyprus, where he supervised curriculum development and taught various courses in public administration, business management, transnational corporate governance, and international relations/ issues of globalization for almost three years. Gleb was part of the research team at the Monterey Center for Nonproliferation Studies, a major U.S. think tank, advocating nonproliferation of weapons of mass destruction, in Monterey, California (1995-1997) and worked at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna with the Division of External Affairs conducting policy research and analysis in the office of the IAEA Director General.
Previously, Gleb held management positions in the private sector companies in Ukraine during the country's transition to market economy.
Gleb holds a Master of Arts in International Relations from Kiev State University (Ukrainian Institute of International Relations), a Master of Public Administration in International Management from the Monterey Institute of International Studies, and a doctorate in learning and instruction from the USF School of Education.
Gleb is a recipient of the 2008 "Excellence in Education Award for Exemplary Dedication to Teaching" of the Santa Rosa Chamber of Commerce.
