Ginette Legaré is a visual artist based in Toronto, Canada. Over the years, her mixed media constructs and installations have explored the social and cultural contexts that inform recovered objects’ “ability” to embody, displace, and suggest meaning. Her works have been shown in many group and solo exhibitions throughout Canada, and in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain, the U.S., and Japan. They are also featured in a number of private, public, and corporate collections.

Legaré is a former member of Mercer Union's board of directors and of Cold City Gallery. A professor in the Faculty of Art and Graduate studies at OCAD University, she has served as an advisor and juror for several arts organizations.

She is represented by the Birch Contemporary gallery in Toronto, and her work can be seen on the gallery’s website.
