Dr. Ghufran Ahmad got his B.Sc. (Hons) in Economics from Lahore University of Management Sciences in 2012 with a CGPA of 3.89. After that, he joined Texas A&M University in College Station, TX, USA to pursue his Ph.D. in Economics, completing it in 2017 with Dr. Guoqiang Tian and Dr. Vikram Manjunath as his committee chair and co-chair, respectively. His research focuses on microeconomic theory specifically dealing with resource allocation, social choice and matching problems.
