Nalcor Energy's core business is the generation and transmission of electricity, and it is the parent company of Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro and Churchill Falls Labrador Corporation (CFLCo), Nalcor is also the proponent and owner of the Muskrat Falls hydroelectric development on the Lower Churchill River, which is currently under construction. The Company is active in other energy-related businesses through its Oil and Gas, Energy Marketing, and Bull Arm Fabrication divisions. The Company's workforce of about 1,500 dedicated people is widely distributed throughout Newfoundland and Labrador.
In my role as VP, HR/OE I was accountable for strategic direction and ensuring functional excellence across all areas of Nalcor's operations in the areas of human resources; labour relations; safety and health; environmental stewardship and compliance; and organizational excellence.
