I teach Management Information Systems to non-IT students....the class teaches them how to deal with technology in the business environment. I've partnered with Gisele Olney from the Nebraska Business Development Center to teach this class in a way that gives students a hands-on learning experience in analyzing business process and selecting technology to help enhance it.\n\nNote: Linkedin shows employment by last date of hire. My primary job is actually as a partner of Turner & Associates. My teaching job is largely an avocation that reflects a passion of mine....teaching provides different kinds of rewards then my "day job". /smile

I divide my time between management duties
consulting
and marketing/sales. As a partner in the firm
I'm involved in strategic and tactical decisions about business direction and strategy. I spend most of my consulting time assisting businesses with making and managing strategic and tactical decisions involving technology. \n\nWhile our business is technology consulting
technology in and of itself is largely irrelevant...what matters is business process and the people that run it. Our approach focuses on looking at how technology fits with the process and people it serves.\n\nMy marketing and sales responsibilities focus on market development and new client generation.
