Euripedes B Deoliveira is a/an Lecturer in the California State University department at California State University
California State University Northridge - Urban Planning
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
I successfully defended my dissertation for the PhD program in Regional Planning at the University of Massachusetts Amherst (UMass) in 2016. It highlights the urgency to communicate climate change information
and to the implementation of adaptation measures
to address the climate and non-climatic vulnerabilities of populations in the biome Cerrado
Goiás
Brazil. It examined the state-led participatory planning under the program City for Us. I looked to the program participants’ understanding of how socio-economic and institutional constraints influenced the planning process
and how it relates to their vulnerability to risk and hazard impact.
