I received my Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts from Texas A&M University in 2001 and am a member of the Fightin' Texas Aggie Class of 2000. In 2010, I received my Master of Science in Counseling, special emphases in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling and Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I received my PhD in 2015 from Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi in the Counselor Education. I previously worked as a Professional Assistant Professor of Social Science at TAMUCC in the First-Year Learning Communities Program. Prior to this I worked at Texas A&M University- Kingsville as a Career Advisor. In my position as a career advisor I enjoyed working with students to perfect their résumés, cover letters, and curriculum vitae, as well as hone their interviewing skills. I tend to utilize solution-focused interventions and those of Dr. Savickas. I have enjoyed my journey through the Texas A&M System and am proud of my transition from Aggieland to the Island to Javelina Nation, and back to the Island again.
I currently hold a license as a Licensed Professional Counselor. I hope to continue my passion for supervision as a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor in the future.
