• 2016 Undergraduate Research Mentor of the Year, KU Center for Undergraduate Research. More than $20,000 in internal and external undergraduate research funds over the last three years.
• Played an active role in major curricular improvements, including the design and implementation of a new major, multiple undergraduate certificates, and the strategic implementation of "gateway courses" to increase enrollments from a wider segment of the student body.
• Worked with diverse student populations including student athletes, honors students, and adult learners in class and online. Effectively tailored instruction and assessment to these audiences and their abilities, while coordinating efforts with the KU Academic Achievement and Access Center and academic staff and administrators in University Athletics.
• Conceived and implemented a three week overseas study abroad program in Israel that emphasized cultural awareness, historical knowledge, and the development of transferable skills including data collection, critical analysis, and professional communication that has been heavily featured in KU promotional materials, including the Chancellor’s Report (2016).

• Oversaw the excavation and documentation of cultural heritage, scholarly analysis of material culture, and communication of results to professional and lay audiences through presentations, visual media, and museum exhibitions.
• Annually coordinated, trained, and supervised as many as 6 staff members and 40 volunteers of different ages (16-80) from around the world to accomplish physically demanding tasks in uncomfortable environments, under tight deadlines in a fun and educational manner.
• Acted as a primary point of contact in the field with local residents, municipal representatives, and state officials to communicate the nature of our work and its importance for local, national, and global interests.
