As someone who really wants to learn and understand the fundamentals, I definitely recommend Prof Swelstad. Understandably, he expects you to put in work. He has specific requirements but he communicates them to you. Take this class if you really want to learn the fundamentals of writing a screenplay.

I was a student of Professor Swelstad's this Spring. Unfortunately, I only attended his class in person for a month or two due to COVID-19. However, those two months were great. I made a few friends in his class. I also learned more than I did from Cinema 107. The rest of the class was online. And honestly, it was a lot harder than the first two months, because of this change.
