I am an Assistant Professor of Management at Northern Illinois University. I earned my Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Previously, I held faculty appointments at Bradley University in Peoria, IL and Christopher Newport University in Newport News, VA.
My research interests focus on work engagement, leadership, career success, the work-family interface, frontline service management, and research methods (construct measurement, meta-analysis, multilevel modeling, structural equation modeling). I've published my research at top-tier outlets in management (e.g., Journal of Management) and have won "Best Paper" awards at several professional meetings including the Academy of Management and the Southern Management Association.
I am a two-time graduate of Bradley University (MBA, 2007; BA in Political Science & International Studies, 2004).
