Meyer
Greater Los Angeles Area
Eric Daryl Meyer earned a Ph.D. from the Theology Department of Fordham University in 2014. His research questions the commitment within both historical and contemporary Christian theology to a view of animals as categorically inferior and examines the ways in which this view of animals emerges in tensions within Christian theological anthropology. His work is situated at the intersection of the study of Late-Ancient Christianity, contemporary constructive theology, critical animal studies, and poststructural philosophy. His published essays may be found in a variety of edited volumes, including Genesis and Christian Theology, The Bible and Posthumanism, and Divinanimality: Creaturely Theologies.
