Awesome
Dr. Burns is undoubtedly the best professor of art history I've had at Auburn. She truly loves her subject and it's evident from her lectures. I prefer a lecture-based class; however, Dr. Burns tries to make it more interesting by getting her students to share. Class participation is important to her, but overall it's not a hard class at all. Really LOVED her!
Good
Prof. Burns gives extremely detailed lectures and the slides are available online, but they do not actually contain even half of the information discussed in class. For each exam, she gives review guides which contain exactly what you need to know. However, you still have to study if you want to get an A. She also gives a paper and a few extra participation assignments.
Good
She's the nicest professor you could meet. You'll need to put in some work for her class. It's about the same as any other college classes though. She keeps things fun with her lectures, videos, and group talks. She gives reading Top Hat quizzes every day, two major exams that she calls quizzes , they're not too tough if you study, a couple of writing tasks, and a big end-of-term project. But don't worry, she's not a tough grader.
