Good
Prof. Stockreiter is very experienced in her field. Totally a smart professor. However, I agree with the comments here that she is detail-oriented, strict, and unreasonably mean at times. If you're interested in the topic, it's going to be worth if. Otherwise, you may feel like it is a waste of time. She requires 1 final essay (7-10 pages) and 6 short response papers (4-7 pages).
Poor
I felt like a lot of freshmen were mistakenly enrolled for Professor Stockreiter's class. She's a tough teacher and came across as aloof. However, she's very approachable. Her 100 level class was easier than any level 300 or even 400 level courses I have taken. Honestly, I love the topics covered but the structure is very difficult.
Awful
One of the hardest classes I had was Professor Stockreiter's class, and it was General Education. She basically treated the course as a 300-level course. She's a tough grader too. Personally, she was very unapproachable and condescending in a way that stifled classroom participation. Honestly, I love speaking up in class, and she made me not want to, just because she would always shoot down what you had to say.
