Dedicated educator, interpreter, mentor and advocate--I have been an interpreter educator for five years and a program director for three. Nationally certified sign language interpreter with over twenty years of experience. I hold Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf and National Association for the Deaf certifications: NIC Master, SC:L, CI/CT, NAD-Master. I have been certified as a specialist in legal interpreting for over fifteen years, and owned and operated an interpreter referral agency for eight years. I have experience in health care educational interpreting, remote interpreting via video (VRS and VRI), national conferences including RID and CIT, and working with certified deaf interpreters and individuals with limited or emerging language skills. I work at Idaho State University as a Clinical Associate Professor in the Communication Sciences/Sign Language Interpreting department.
