Lower Division Studies Administrator
My responsibilities include keeping enrollment figures for the department, meeting with my chair to report about enrollment and scheduling, hiring lecturers to teach unstaffed Lower Division classes, scheduling classes for the department, working with New TA Orientation in various capacities, working with the book representatives, acting as mediator between student and instructor difficulties, working on the Undergraduate Committee for our college, working with the Latino faculty, reviewing and approving/rejecting petitions for credit transfer from other universities, observing TAs and evaluating their teaching skills, holding supervisory meetings with my TA groups, assigning TAs to appropriate supervisors, and so forth.
