Prof. Akins gives a heavy course load in studio, but he focused more on areas that aren't applicable to final deliverables. He can be quite condescending, but he's really knowledgeable. In reviews, he brings up issues that he didn't even address beforehand. He is helpful in desk critiques as well. He relies heavily on surrounding area, thus, leaving time for actual building development.
