Teaching Assistant
Assisted the professor of an Introduction to Folklore course with implementing the lesson plan, grading coursework, advising students, and contributing lectures.
Freelance Curatorial Assistant
Assistant curator reviewing and editing audio files, creating audio logs, identifying presentation-quality segments, and providing minor project consultation for an upcoming exhibit on traditional flood prevention knowledge and techniques.
Curator of Folk Arts
Develop programs, bi-annual exhibitions, and projects raising awareness of cultural traditions in the diverse ethnic, regional, and occupational communities of the Buffalo-Niagara region through original fieldwork research.
As of Aug. '19, have curated / installed 12 unique exhibitions (from Vernacular Architecture in Niagara County to Calligraphy Traditions in WNY), developed, built, and installed a permanent Introduction to Folk Arts gallery at the museum, organized 20+ programs, spear-headed three folklife initiatives, and written one peer-reviewed article.

Adjunct Professor
Teach two annual courses at Niagara University:
1. Fall Semester - Folklore in America, a survey course with weekly topics focusing on the different genres of folklore & (new in 2017) where students might encounter similar expressions of culture.
2. Spring Semester - Exhibiting Cultures, a hands-on course where I instruct and guide students through the process of developing programs and exhibitions: students learn & are responsible for conducting field research (as a group), developing exhibit or program content, and installing exhibits or facilitating the program.
Educational Programs Assistant
Educator leading tours of the historic farm, interpreting the historic buildings, trades, and chores of the site. Engaging and providing historical interpretations to the public, assisting with general maintenance and special programs.
Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)
Anthropology
Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology with a minor in History. Completed the University Honors Program curricula, culminating in an Honors Senior thesis examining emergent forms of cooperation in online role-playing games through Durkheim and Mauss. Also served as president and co-founder of the Anthropology Club, as a staff writer for the university newspaper 'The Setonian', and as a member of the Honors Council.
Master of Arts (M.A.)
Folklore
Master of Arts in Folklore, completing a comprehensive examination in cultural tourism, occupational folklife, and public folklore. Interests also include folklore and literature, popular culture, ethnic identity, and folklore and technology.

Living Spaces: The Architecture of the Family Fishery in Keels, Newfoundland
Living Spaces: The Architecture of the Family Fishery in Keels, Newfoundland, emerged from the first Memorial University of Newfoundland Department of Folklore field school. The field school focused on the vernacular architecture and material culture of Keels, an outport fishing community. Fieldwork for this piece involved drafting a floor plan, interviewing the owner, and photographing the various tools and appliances. This book section focuses on a thick description of the changes made to the structure, its contents, and its multiple uses as a storage, repair, and entertaining space.
