As a clinical scientist and historian, I am interested in finding the nuggets of wisdom in the enormous past history of psychiatry and pharmacology and applying them to the present.
I have written many books (see Amazon), but my latest is "The Madness of Fear: A History of Catatonia" (Oxford University Press, 2018).

As clinical scientist and historian of psychiatry and psychopharmacology, I try to use the lessons of the past to guide future drug discovery and development; I believe there are such lessons. I have written about this in numerous books and articles, and am keen to engage in discussion of this subject with other members.
