IdeaShaper Academic Editing is my home business. I have no employees. My strength is helping academic writers at the graduate and post-graduate level clarify their ideas. When I edit theses or papers intended for publication
my comments include explanations of grammar and style. My purpose is to help junior faculty to publish well-written papers and thus help them gain tenure or earn promotions. I hope that academic writing can be interesting for readers outside the particular discipline and that new ideas can be made clear and accessible.\n\n

I write a personal opinion column (800 - 1000 words) about once a month on whatever topic I choose
and include a photo if that is appropriate. Usually the column emerges out of personal experience
sometimes out of books I have read. I think of the columns as creative writing that invites people to think about ordinary things in new ways. \n\nHere are the links to columns published so far:\n\nhttp://www.prairiemessenger.ca/16_04_20/Froess_16_04_20.html\nhttp://www.prairiemessenger.ca/16_07_13/Froese_16_07_13.html \nhttp://www.prairiemessenger.ca/16_08_31/Froese_16_08_31.html\nhttp://www.prairiemessenger.ca/16_10_19/Froese_16_10_19.html\nhttp://www.prairiemessenger.ca/16_11_23/Froese_16_11_23.html\nhttp://www.prairiemessenger.ca/16_12_21/Froese_16_12_21.html\nhttp://www.prairiemessenger.ca/17_01_18/Froese_17_01_18.html\nhttp://www.prairiemessenger.ca/17_02_08/Froese_17_02_08.html\n
Freelance Columnist
I taught first-year English classes.
University of Saskatchewan
Sessional Lecturer
I taught English literature classes at the first-year and upper-year levels. I also developed and taught a non-credit grammar class designed to help students improve their writing. I also attended conferences when able and presented papers. Some of those papers were later published in recognized journals.
