Many feel history is an unchanging list of events and dates. Kings and Queens, battlefields and borders to memorize. This would be terribly boring.

History changes with every fresh question we ask. It is never etched in stone, every monument speaks to the present and attempts to capture the past. The festivals we celebrate, the flags we honor, the buildings we admire - all this depends on our vision of the past, a vision that constantly evolves according to our own experiences and broader societal changes. If there is one word that reflects my vision of history, it is - change.
