I am a creative and passionate team player, leader, and problem solver. I especially enjoy travel, new foods, books of all kinds, films, music, art, and culture, and will excel in any position that allows me to work with other individuals who share these passions.
I graduated with my B.A. in English in 2014 from Barry University in Miami, Florida, and recently received my M.A. in English from Eastern Illinois University. I have an extensive background in rhetoric, composition, literature, theatre, and design as well as working knowledge of history, sociology, philosophy, and psychology. I have experience in writing, editing, design, and community outreach/engagement, as well as experience teaching English at the middle school, highschool, and collegiate levels.

Graduate Assistant working in the Writing Center, teaching Composition courses, and assisting in coordination of English Studies Conference and Summer Camp. Working on my masters thesis about Literary Nonsense and how the image-text relationship is altered through the process of adaptation. Focus in interdisciplinary approaches to literary analysis and composition instruction.
Student Teacher
Planned and taught ENG 1001G Intro to composition course. Responsible for daily lessons and activities for 20 students. Created syllabus, policy, and assignments. Graded student work and provided feedback. Samples available upon request.
Writing Consultant
Assists student with writing assignments of various genres in a one-on-one atmosphere. Topics covered include brainstorming techniques, pre-writing techniques, improving content, organization, style, grammar, and formatting, and teaching editing and proofreading techniques. Plans and conducts writing workshops, records and collates writing center statistics and feedback.
Graduate Assistant
Assists Dr. Melissa Ames and Dr. Fern Kory in coordinating the English Studies Conference and Summer Camp. In charge of research, community outreach, public relations and advertising, and scheduling and organizing volunteers. Gained experience in drafting press releases, document design, instructional writing, and database work.
