Full-time academic advisor and instructor for the Philosophy department at Illinois State University. Duties include:\n\n-Primary academic advisor for philosophy majors and minors in their academic careers
from entrance to graduation. Tasks include enrolling students into the major and minor
meeting with them to track progress towards completion of requirements
reaching out to students about departmental programs and activities
completing necessary documentation for university and student needs
helping connect students to other services in the university
outreach to prospective and incoming students
etc.\n-Instructor in the department
one course per semester. Courses types taught include Freshman-only courses
general education courses
and major-focused courses. Specific courses taught include Basic Issues in Philosophy
Meaning and Religious Belief
Visions of the Self
and Existentialism. (The last
