In self-designed sections of American Studies, English Literature and First-Year Writing courses I engaged students in critical discussions of exile, immigration, home and identity through group analysis and written responses to foundational literature by noteworthy 20th-century American and Caribbean psychologists, artists, novelists, poets and thinkers. I have managed classrooms of 30+ students and classrooms of less than ten students. I have ten years of experience in meeting the educational needs of anomalous learning styles and various levels of understanding within the university community.
