Conducting assessments and providing educational, career and personal counseling; coordinating the planning and scheduling of supplemental instruction and tutoring in approved college preparatory courses; developing Individual Action Plans for project participants and take steps necessary to ensure that students adhere to and complete their plans; supervising other activities and processes related to instructional services for project participants; managing the Saturday Academic sessions and assisting in planning the Summer Component; visiting target schools and consulting with school officials as needed to recruit, enroll and maintain a roster of the approved number of project participants per academic year; advising and motivating project participants regarding their academic needs and career interests; insuring that eligibility requirements and applications for new participants are complete; assisting students in choosing colleges; assisting in recruiting, hiring, supervising, and evaluating team of instructors and tutors.

Providing coordination of the day-to-day activities and services of the McNair Scholars Program.
Implementing, monitoring, and administrating the objectives of the McNair Program.
Facilitating, implementing, supervising, and evaluating a colloquium on research and graduate education, and other scholarly, social, and professional development activities.
Organizing workshops, campus visits, and activities for the academic, professional and personal development of the scholars.
