Introduction to Early Childhood Education
EEC1001 DescriptionThis course introduces basic principles and practices involved in guiding the young child. The course includes history and objectives of early childhood programs, child care issues, center licensing standards, and classroom activity planning. Prerequisites: Satisfactory scores on all placement tests.
Corequisites: EDG 2940 or CHD 1220.
Class Notes: This is a hybrid section of this course and is a blend of online and on-campus instruction. The class will meet at the campus and days noted on the MyFSCJ schedule. The remainder of the class is online and must be accessed in Canvas through MyFSCJ. Students must have stable internet access. Enrollment Requirements: Pre-requisite: Satisfactory tests scores on all placement tests.
